We specialize in making memories at Layman Family Farms. We are open to all public & private schools as well as home school groups for and incredible field trip experience.

A field trip to Layman Family Farms is something no child will ever forget. Having grown up on a farm, we believe that it is important for all children to have the opportunity to be exposed to agriculture. Everyone should know where corn and pumpkins come from.

The MAiZE at Layman Family Farms is a 10 acre cornfield with more than three miles of trails cut into it, forming a unique and artistic design. If all the correct turns and paths are taken, the maze can be walked in 45 minutes, but for most maze-goers, it takes about one hour to complete the journey. FIELD TRIPS TAKE ABOUT 1.5 TO 2 HOURS.

Our picnic facilities work great for field trips

When students arrive at the MAiZE, they will be given a brief overview of the maze and how it is planted and cut. They will then be given educational "Passports" to help guide them through the leafy labyrinth that is the maze. Depending on their agricultural knowlege, it will help them find the correct path to complete the maze more quickly.

All field trip groups receive a hayride to the pumpkin patch and a trip through the corn maze. Children will get to choose a mini pumpkin from the field and enjoy our other courtyard activities.

For your convenience, Layman Family Farms has a picnic area, porta johns and hand washing stations. Picnic areas require advance reservations.

PRICING - For school groups, all admission tickets are $6.50

ONE TEACHER/CHAPERONE IS REQUIRED PER 10 STUDENTS.
